Letter of canonical erection of St. Josaphat Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order. Canonical permission for Conventual Franciscan friars to establish a Franciscan Third Order fraternity at the basilica granted by Archbishop Sebastian Messmer on March 13, 1910. Fraternity established on the Feast of St. Anthony, June 13, 1910, when first tertiaries were received into the Order during Solemn Mass at the basilica.

Fr. Hyacinth (Jacek) Fudzinski, OFM Conv - first director of St. Josaphat Fraternity (St. Anthony Province). 1910-1914.

Fr. Felix Baran, OFM Conv - succeeded in 1914 as fraternity director and continued under the newly created St. Bonaventure Province (1939).
