CORONA VIRUS SHUTDOWN: Due to the public health emergency, the Wisconsin Governor issues a "stay at home: order, resulting in a massive closure - schools, restaurants, businesses, churches. Our fraternity members maintained contact and nourished their spiritual lives in various ways from March 15-present: phone calls, personal visits, texts, emails, Facebook, livestream Mass, devotions, retreats and spiritual conferences, and Zoom meetings. La Verna Region hosted a Wednesday evening conference call rosary. Our candidates continued their formation virtually, then met in-person when the Health Department permitted, but while wearing masks and with proper social distancing.
FRANCISCANS FOR LIFE
Throughout the year, St. Josaphat Fraternity collects items for the Women's Care Center and makes an annual Lenten donation on March 25, 2020, the Feast of the Annunciation (Conception of Our Lord). This year, due to the coronavirus pandemic social distancing restrictions, we could not take our group photo with the items, but we were able to take some pics of the approximately 200 items prior to donation to the center: diapers, wipes, baby clothes, socks, booties, bibs, powder, cream, lotion, shampoo, pacifiers, bottles, sippy cups, blankets, etc.
"I have come that they may have life." (John 10:10)
